Plague is heavily built with loops consisting of thick steel wire running throughout the bait, this to hold too many big pike year after year.

If you fasten the line in the lower nose loop, the plague gets a strong swaying motion and it is possible to fish the bait really slowly just below the surface, really hot for spring fishing.

If you attach the line to the upper nose loop, the bait becomes much more aggressive with a hard wagging gait with elements of swimming out to the sides, Plague then dives deeper.
